Invisible Cities Book Cover

Using Italo's Calvino's book, Invisible Cities, this projects uses methods of abstraction to recreate a book cover inspired from a city within the collection.

Sophronia

THE CITY OF TWO HALF-CITIES

"One of the half-cities is permanent, the other is temporary, and when the period of sojourn is over, they uproot it, dismantle it, and take it off, transplanting it to the vacant lots of another half-city."

Final Draft

My final draft explores the idea of Sophronia and its two hemispheres. While one of the half-cities bathe in light, the other is overshadowed and clouded in darkness.
